We are the Friends of Friendship Gardens and Lea Bridge library. We are volunteers from all walks of life who live in the Lea Bridge area of London. We give a lot of time and effort to making this library and its gardens a great place to be. You can find out more about the kinds of activities we get up to on this site.

Now we are facing our biggest challenge. The Library is a beautiful old building but it urgently needs refurbishing. And we need a place which can offer not just books but all sorts of services to inspire our local community to achieve their potential. Please take a moment to view this film about our campaign for funding to renovate our local library in Lea Bridge. We need to raise £2 million pounds to refurbish our Grade II listed Carnegie Library and bring back to life this beautiful old building.

Please help us show the Community Fund from the National Lottery how much support there is for funding for this project, not just amongst our local community but from people across the UK and the world. We only have this chance to regenerate our library and make a difference to a whole generation of children. But if we do, who knows what they could become?
